Add Y486AP Printer on Windows by IP Address

NOTE: Ensure your computer and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network/network segment. (To verify the printer’s network, print a network configuration page from the printer’s settings.)

Installation Steps:

         1. Download the Printer Driver

                   Note: Download the driver indicated in the red box on the download page.        

        2. Start the Installation

    • Locate the downloaded driver file (typically a .exe file) and double-click to launch the installer.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to proceed.

        3. Select Connection Type

    • In the installation wizard, choose "Wi-Fi" as the connection method.

    • Click "Next" to continue.

       4. Connect to the Printer’s Network

    • Select the wireless network named "Y486AP" from the list.

    • Enter the printer’s IP address when prompted.

      • To find the IP address: Print a network configuration page from the printer’s settings.

      5. Complete Installation

    • Click "Install" to begin the driver installation.

    • Once finished, click "Finish" to exit the wizard.

Verify Installation

    • After installation, the printer should appear in your computer’s Devices & Printers list.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Confirm the printer’s IP address is correct and matches your network segment.

  • Reinstall the driver if the issue persists.
