KNAON Y486AP AirPrint Wireless Thermal Label Printer

I have a Rollo air printer as well as this one. This one has a lot of pros compared to the Rollo.

When I buy an item, I tend to look for the best quality and specs. I don’t mind spending extra money if the product is worth it. Here is my breakdown of both printers:

1. The Rollo constantly loses connection when your power goes out. It does not reconnect. You have to physically go to the printer, shut it off and then turn it back on again in order for it to connect back to your phone. The KNAON printer stays connected.

2. This KNAON printer is super super quiet compared to the Rollo printer.

3. The print speed on this is a ton faster than the Rollo printer. It’s super fast when it prints.

4. The price of this printer is a fraction of the cost of the brand-name Rollo printer.

5. The Rollo printer wasted a lot of labels. The sensor would not pick up the first label in the roll so it would constantly be wasted. The KNAON printer picked up on the labels immediately. The first label was never wasted.

I had absolutely no issues setting up this printer on my iPhone 15. I followed the instructions and it took me about 10 minutes to set it up to use via AirPrint. I use it mainly to air print labels from my iPhone. It prints beautifully via air print. I’ve never had any issues with it not popping up in my available printer list. It actually pops up as an option before the Rollo one does. The print quality is crisp enough and I’ve never had any issues issue with my labels being scanned. I’ve never had to reprint either. I’ve printed about 69 amazon shipping labels so far with no issues.

I’m glad I bought this printer. The only con I’ve noticed with the KNAON printer is that the labels constantly default to 4x8 instead of 4x6 so I have to go and change it for each print I do. It’s kind of annoying and I wish there is a fix in the future. Other than that this printer is absolutely perfect. This printer is 100% worth the investment. I’ve also had a Munbyn printer. It didn’t have any air print capabilities as of yet. I’m sure they will be working on it soon as well. But I do like this printer the best. There’s no question about it, this printer is the best in performance and value…even better than the brand-name ones! The brand-name ones are exploiting you for the name. Quality and performance wise, this one is a ton better due to the reasons listed above. I do still have both printers. I could not return the other one since it was past the return date. I’m constantly noticing the differences between both printers till today. The Rollo one is not worth the money compared to this one.

Pretty happy with this so far. Super easy to set up and prints quickly. No ink needed is a big plus. Just load the paper and it works.

Perfect for ebay and other selling sites to print ups and usps labels

So much nicer than the Bluetooth one I had before. Sync’d with my iPhone easily and is whisper quiet.

I love this printer! I've been looking for a good quality thermal printer with Airprint for sometime now, and wanted one that wasn't going to break the bank. I've printed over 50 shipping labels so far and only one needed to be reprinted due to a quality gap in the barcode area of the label. It was extremely easy to set up, I appreciated that it came with some labels, and it prints fast. As soon as you turn it on it's available on my phone as a printer option--no issues with connect and disconnect. The print quality isn't the sharpest you could get on the market, but for the price, this is right.

Product has been great and using it daily! It was a little bit of a pain to get connected to WiFi but once it’s up it’s up. Works great for AirPrint from iPhone and is very quick. Stand allows you to use the rolled labels or the folded style.

Connection is stable, way better than the Bluetooth one. Worth the extra cost if you use it frequently

I’m amazed! It’s half the price of Rollo and does everything Rollo does. It’s even quieter.

It doesn’t print as sharply as Rollo, but that’s a label, who cares?

I only used the printer once so far, but it was wonderful. The set up is quick and easy. The product is small, good looking and it works fast. I love it.

So far so good! A few hiccups with setup, and it works great now. My phone wanted to send everything through an encrypted file, and I had to give it permission to send it as unencrypted. That was my biggest issue. Labels look great!

Great product and super fast to setup!!

It is really nicely packaged and super easy to set up. I would say it took about 5 minutes max to set up. It hardly takes up any room on my desk which is awesome. On top of it being super easy to set up, it’s also just super easy to use in general. The cord to plug into the wall is also nice and long so I had many options as to wear I could put the printer.

After having this for a few days and having used it multiple times I can confidently say I highly recommend.
