Step 1: Power Off the Printer
First, turn off the printer. This ensures your safety and prevents any damage to the printer during the cleaning process.
Step 2: Cool Down and Open the Cover
After powering off, allow the printer to cool down for 3 minutes. Then, locate the cover buttons on both sides of the printer and press them to open the cover. This step gives you access to the print head.
Step 3: Prepare Cleaning Materials
Get some cotton swabs and alcohol. Spray a small amount of alcohol onto the cotton swab.
Step 4: Clean the Print Head
Locate the print head inside the printer. Gently wipe the print head with the alcohol-soaked cotton swab. Ensure all areas of the print head are cleaned to remove ink residue or debris.
Step 5: Wait and Close the Cover
Wait for 2 to 5 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate completely. Then, close the printer cover.
