How to Setup a 4x6 Inch Shipping Label for Printing on Whatnot

If your Whatnot shipping labels print too small or too large, the fix is adjusting your default label size to 4x6. Follow these simple steps to get it right—no technical expertise needed!

Step 1: Access Your Whatnot Profile & Shipments Page

  1. Go to Whatnot’s homepage and log into your account.
  2. Hover over your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Shipments” from the dropdown menu to open your active shipping orders.

Step 2: Locate Default Label Options

  1. On the Shipments page, look for the menu panel on the right side.
  2. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this menu to find “Default Label Options.”

Step 3: Set Shipping Label Size to 4x6

  1. Next to “Shipping Labels,” click the pencil icon to edit the settings.
  2. A dropdown menu will appear—select “4x6” (the other option is 8 1/2 by 11, which causes sizing issues for standard label printers).
  3. Click “Save” to confirm the change.

Important Notes

  • This setting applies to all new shipping labels you generate. It won’t retroactively adjust labels you’ve already printed, so always set it before creating labels.
  • If you use a thermal label printer, 4x6 is the standard size for seamless printing.
