How to use the FlashLabel App to print custom labels on Android

Prerequisites:
☑️ Ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi.
☑️ Your phone and printer must use the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 1: Install the App
🔹 Scan the QR code below using your smartphone’s camera.


🔹 Download and install the official FlashLabel App.

Step 2: Discover Printer

1. Open the FlashLabel App.

 

2. Tap "Search for Printers" in the app.

3. Wait for Y486AP to appear in the device list.

Step 3: Connect Printer

  1. Select "Y486AP" from the detected devices.

  2. Confirm connection when prompted.

Connection Success Indicators:
✅ App automatically returns to home screen.
✅ Top-right icon changes from 🔴 red (disconnected) to 🔵 blue (connected).

Step 4: Create a New Label

1. Tap "New Label" on the home screen.

Step 5: Design Your Label
Use the editing toolbar to add:
• Text • Lines • Shapes • Barcodes • QR Codes • Images • Serialization • Database fields

Step 6: Print

  1. Review your label design.

  2. Tap the "Print now" button.

  3. Wait for print confirmation.


Troubleshooting Tips:
• If printer isn’t found: Restart app & check Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Blue icon not showing? Reconnect printer in app settings.
• Test print fails? Reload paper and ensure cover is closed.

Note: First-time setup requires app permissions for location (Bluetooth discovery) and local network access. Denying these may prevent printer detection.
